We then had John's parents and his brother, Evan, come into town to visit. It was so fun to have them here! About one month before they came into town we decided to throw a surprise 50th birthday party for both of them. They both turned 50 within 2 months of each other, one in January and the other in March. We got it all organized and it turned out perfectly. They had NO idea! Which I was really happy about because sometimes it is hard to keep things secret from Shelly if you know what I mean. :) Everyone was so nice and helpful and Frank and Shelly had a blast spending time with their dearly missed friends here in Texas.
We then had a fun time going to a Dallas Stars ice hockey game. We had a great time, thanks to our good friend Jordan! We lost unfortunately, but it was still a good time. It was actually John's first time to an ice hockey game!
We ate at this delicious buffet called Old Number 7 and it over looked the Mavs practice court. John was pretty excited.
Crazy suped up Zamboni that kids rode around in.
This is pretty cool to see. John was very proud.
Next was the day of Love, Valentine's Day. John's mom was here to celebrate with us, so that was fun. We left it up to John and so we went shopping and I knew he had something up his sleeve but he wouldn't tell us, of course. We came back to our apartment and John had decorated it all cute with Valentine's stuff. He welcomed us to Lowell's Cafe and served us Maggiano's take-out. We also watched The Notebook while we ate. It was SO cute and special. Shelly left early so John & I could spend time together. It was a really fun special Valentine's Day. John treated the 2 most important women in his life very well. I love my husband more than anything. He is simply the best for me. Thank you for a wonderful Valentine's Day!
Last but not least, I have to end with a beautiful Texas sunset picture. It was so pretty, it seriously looked like a painting. The clouds looked so cool. Oh and it's beginning to look like Spring around here! The blossoms are starting to poke through. I won't lie I really enjoyed the weather here this past winter. It was wonderful, always around 60-80 degrees. It was weird to not have any snow at all, but I was ok with it. And that was our life for the month of February...until next time. Thanks for reading!

Yay!! I'm glad you posted! I know you said last time I posted you were going to try to do it once a month, let's make a pact to keep it up! Glad you guys are doing well!
